Join longtime OLLI member Bernie Drake for a
look at the surprising role Peoria has played in the
history of invention and innovation. This program
will explore people, ideas, and creations with local
connections, showing how Peoria has contributed
to more than many may realize. From familiar
names to lesser-known stories, participants will
discover how invention often starts closer to home
than expected.
$15 – Includes presentation and treats.

Whiskey Tasting 101
Monday, November 30
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Peoria NEXT Innovation Center
Discover the world of whiskey in this engaging,
flavor-filled afternoon. Explore Canadian, Bourbon,
Tennessee, Irish, and Scotch styles while learning
how to observe, nose, and taste like a pro. Guided
sipping samples are included. Your host, Steve
Richards, is a former professional taster for the
Hiram Walker Distillery in Peoria and brings a
unique blend of scientific insight and practical
know-how to every pour. A perfect session for both
whiskey lovers and the simply curious, come enjoy
the “water of life” in good company.
$40 – includes presentation, snacks, whiskey.

OLLI MIX & Mingle
The OLLI Mix & Mingle is a great way to meet new
people in a casual environment.
Participants will purchase their own drinks
and snacks. Each event will be hosted by OLLI
volunteers and a Bradley staffer. We have
reserved a few tables at area restaurants so we
can mix and mingle, OLLI style. Registration is
required, but if you’d like to bring a friend who is
new to OLLI just call the office and let us know so
we can add them to the count.
Each Mix and Mingle is free, but
registration is required to enable
accurate counts for our hosts. Transportation is
not included - meet us there!
