Advancing Agricultural Technology

Precision Planting is a leader in agricultural
technology, known for solving real-world farming
challenges through practical, retrofit-based
innovation. Founded in 1993 in Tremont, Illinois,
the company focuses on helping farmers improve
planting performance and maximize yields
using advanced yet accessible technology. Aaron
Herrmann, research agronomist, will explore the
history and business model of Precision Planting,
highlighting how its approach has influenced
modern farming practices. Through photos and
videos, we'll see how key products work in the
field and learn about some of the company’s latest
innovations. Aaron will also take a broader look at
the current state of agricultural technology and
other major players in the field ( pardon the pun).

Discover, Watch, and Play
Wednesday, March 18
12:00 – 2:30 p.m.
Markin Center, Bradley University
Curious about pickleball? Join us for a fun,
informative session where you'll learn what makes
this sport so popular with all generations. We’ll
cover the basics—rules, equipment, and strategy—
in a short demo and Q&A. Then, if you choose, you’ll
have the opportunity to step onto the court and
give it a try with hands-on guidance from volunteer
coaches. No experience necessary—just bring your
curiosity and comfortable shoes!
$15 – includes presentation, demonstration, and
an opportunity to play a short round of pickleball.

Peoria Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle

In collaboration with the Peoria Women's Club,
OLLI invites you to join the Peoria Chautauqua
Literary and Scientific Circle (CLSC), considered the
oldest continuous book club in the United States.
Writer and educator Lynette Steger will moderate
each meeting that will focus on two of the
Chautauqua Institute’s annual book selections: The
Tiny Journalist, by Naomi Shihab Nye; and Future
Tense, by Martha Brockenbrough.
$25 – includes presentations, snacks, and
coffee. This fee also includes a $10 annual CLSC
membership. Transportation not provided – meet
