Inside Bradley’s New Barton Clinic:
A PT Experience Tour
Monday, April 20

Experience Bradley University’s new Glen and Polly
Barton Clinic for Fitness and Function, opened in
fall 2025. Our tour will be led by Dr. Stacie Bertram,
Bradley alum and the first faculty member hired
for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
Discover how the DPT program’s exceptional 100%
graduation, licensure, and employment rates
reflect its strengths in hands-on training, expert
mentorship, and real-world clinical practice. The
Barton Clinic is a pro-bono facility offering free,
evidence-based physical therapy to uninsured and
underinsured members of the Peoria community.
Staffed by faculty and DPT students, the clinic
provides high-quality care and gives students
invaluable experience.
$35 – includes guided tour, lunch at a local

Peoria’s Past Revealed:
A Guided History Tour
Friday, May 1
8:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Led by longtime Peoria educator and community
leader Mike Plunkett, this engaging bus tour
uncovers the stories that shaped the city. We'll
begin at Trefzger’s Bakery, then travel along scenic
Grandview Drive to admire its iconic historic
homes and sweeping river views. We'll see the Dan
Fogelberg Memorial, explore historic High Street,
and stop at sites connected to Peoria’s past as a
once “wide open city,” including the location tied
to Bernie Shelton’s murder. This tour traces Peoria’s
remarkable transformation from a rough-andtumble river town into an All-American city.
$40 – includes guided tour, lunch at a local
restaurant, gratuities, and shuttle transportation.

Bald Eagles in Tazewell County
Thursday, May 14
9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Hear the heartwarming story of how a Bald
Eagle nest brought a neighborhood together in
Cincinnati Township. We'll visit the home of local
eagle enthusiast Mark Werner for an exclusive
chance to observe an active Bald Eagle nest and
eagle behavior up close. Over the past three
seasons, this nest has successfully fledged four
eaglets. Spotting scopes provided by the Peoria
Audubon Society will offer excellent views of the
anticipated 2026 arrivals. If you have them, bring
your binoculars, and your enthusiasm for this
memorable eagle experience

All of Level 1 requirements, plus be able to stand
for over an hour, climb some flights of stairs, and
walk on uneven surfaces.

For nearly 75 years, EP!C has been dedicated to
enriching the lives of people with intellectual
and developmental disabilities. Join us for an
inspiring behind-the-scenes tour to see how
this organization fulfills its mission to "Empower
People and Inspire Capabilities." We will explore
the vibrant EP!Casso Art Studio, where individuals
express their creativity through painting and
ceramics, and visit the EP!C Harvest Garden
and Greenhouse to learn about their unique
agriculture and market program. We will also hear
about their employment services and community
living options that foster independence and
dignity for the individuals they serve.

The Nation’s Largest Exhibition | PRM
Thursday, March 5
9:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Join us for a monumental exploration of
American history at the Peoria Riverfront
Museum. We will experience America 250, an
ambitious exhibition anticipated to be the largest
of its kind in the country celebrating the United
States' semiquincentennial. We’ll have a private
tour with Zac Zetterberg, the museum’s Curator
of Art and Exhibitions. He’ll guide us through a
collection of rare documents, founding artifacts,
and historical treasures that are rarely seen
together. This exclusive look offers a deep dive
into the people, events, and ideas that have
shaped our nation over the last two and a half
centuries.
