President’s Letter
What Will You Discover Next?
January has a way of making us think about fresh starts. A new calendar, a new season, and a new
opportunity to try something we may not have considered before.
As the years pass, we should be aware of becoming stagnant, losing our desire to learn. OLLI gives
us the opportunity to keep our curiosity growing. There is always another place to explore, another
idea to consider, or another person to meet. Sometimes the most memorable discoveries are the
ones we never planned to make.
As you look through the Winter catalog, I hope you will challenge yourself to choose something
new. Sign up for a class on a subject you know nothing about. Join a study group that makes you
think. Take a trip somewhere you have never been. Or simply make room in your calendar for an
OLLI Mix-and-Mingle.
One of the things I love most about OLLI is that everyone is welcome here. You do not need
experience or expertise. You only need an interest in seeing where your curiosity might take you.
So as we begin a new year together, I invite you to ask yourself one simple question: What will you
discover next?
I look forward to discovering right alongside you.
